Privacy Policy

Charity Darko · Last updated 24 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Charity Darko (the “Service”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use it to schedule and publish content to your own connected social media accounts. The Service is a self-hosted social media management tool made available at postiz.builtwithcca.com. It is intended for use by the operator and any individuals they explicitly authorize.

In plain terms: we only collect what is needed to post content that you create to the accounts you connect, we never sell your data, and you can disconnect an account or request deletion at any time.

1. Information We Collect

Social account connection data

When you connect a social media account (for example TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, or similar), the relevant platform sends us information through its official API only after you grant permission. This may include:

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens that let the Service act on your behalf within the permissions you approve;
  • Basic profile information such as your account/user ID, username, display name, and profile picture;
  • The list of channels or pages you choose to connect.

Content you create

The posts, captions, images, and videos that you compose, schedule, or publish through the Service, along with their scheduling metadata (such as intended publish time and target account).

Technical data

Standard operational logs (such as timestamps and error messages) needed to run and troubleshoot the Service. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above solely to:

  • authenticate and display your connected social accounts;
  • schedule and publish the content you create to the accounts you have chosen;
  • show you the status of your scheduled and published posts;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to publishing the content you request.

3. Platform Data and TikTok

Where the Service accesses TikTok data, it does so in accordance with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and applicable platform policies. TikTok information (such as your basic profile and the permission to post video content) is used exclusively to provide the publishing features you request, and it is never shared with third parties beyond TikTok itself. The same principle applies to every other connected platform: data received from a platform is used only to operate the features you have enabled for that platform.

4. How Information Is Shared

The only routine sharing that occurs is with the social platforms themselves: when you publish or schedule a post, the corresponding content is transmitted to that platform’s official API so it can appear on your account. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of the Service and its users.

5. Storage and Security

Data is stored on a self-hosted server under the operator’s control. Access tokens are stored so that scheduled posts can be published, and all connections to the Service are served over encrypted HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your connection data and content only for as long as your account remains connected and the Service is in use. You may:

  • Disconnect a channel at any time from within the Service, which removes its stored tokens and stops further access to that platform;
  • Request full deletion of your data by contacting us using the details below, after which we will delete your stored information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

You may also revoke the Service’s access directly from each platform’s own app/permissions settings.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
